Snow days

So what do you do when you are facing your 6th "snowed in" day in a month and 5th snow day out from school? Well, for those of you who live where it actually snows regularly, you laugh at the people who are paralyzed by the 20+ inches today. We've done a bit of this, a bit of that, a day of Wii, eating, board games, fighting, cleaning. We are getting ready to exercise after lunch digests. Keeping four boys occupied for this long is difficult, but probably not nearly as difficult as when they were all under 10. No one lives near enough to come over, so we are ALONE. This is more difficult for some of us. I was fortunate enough to escape to a coffee shop with a friend as the storm started for some renewal. So far, everyone is alive and well. The snow continues to stream down and blow around, and we already have 17 inches. We know that because we (meaning they) just measured it when they had to shovel a path through the yard so the dog could get to the barn. She came to the front porch this morning when there was only 8 inches. I looked out during a break in the Risk action to see her "swimming" through snow up to her chest in order to get back to the barn. Right now spring looks awfully inviting.

I keep watching the snow pile up in Virginia and shake my head. VA is not supposed to get this much snow!

They aren't getting as much accumulation on the eastern shore, but I'm hoping there will be a time without so much snow so I can get out to Chincoteague and do some much needed preparations at my niece's house there.
I love the picture of the Polar Bears? Is it a picture of polar bears on the wooden floor?
You certainly have your hands full keeping everyone entertained.

Guess we won't complain about our six inches of snow!

Heidi, they are actually Pigs. It's like a dice game. You toss the pigs and how they land gives you a certain number of points. It's a hoot!

Paula,

Was Sam trying out the path they dug out for Goldie by crawling along it? Glad that everyone is keeping busy during your "SNOWED IN" time. You are very lucky to still have power, since there are a lot in the State who don't. We have power (Thank God).
At least all this snow is keeping the politicians out of D.C. and not making any stupid laws. How about that one, where one guy wants hunting licenses for toddlers! He should be put in a room with 10 toddlers with guns and no way out, also no treats for the kids!
Hope that you survive your days of being "snowed in". We are all hoping that Spring gets here very SOON.

Think of all the stories they'll have to tell their kids about the big snow of the 09-10 season! Ron's kids dug a tunnel; fpr their can and a path to the ditch shere she "hunts and hangs out". (After they cleared their driveway, then came and did ours and the elderly neighbors (older than us) Enjoy your togetherness. We've been praying for all of you!
