The chickens enjoy the bugs stirred up by the mower.
This Saturday after all of the business, we came home and enjoyed the beautiful weather. It was gorgeous. The lilacs came into bloom and Chris mowed the grass. I wish I could post the smells. It smelled like spring. Sunday we were back in the low 50's, but this week promises more of spring time beauty.

I was just thinking today--the lawn is almost due for the first cut! It's beautiful today, but chilly. We are going to help at Laurel's track meet. It doesn't look like we'll get rained on (I can handle cold OR wet OR windy but no combination of the above).
Great pictures!
Wow! I'm a bit envious of you folks down south! We STILL have a few lingering piles of snow sitting around! I saw a few crocus poking their heads up yesterday, but lawns needing cutting?! We're weeks away from that still! (Maybe that's a good thing.) I'm glad you shared your pictures of spring. It gives me hope.
It's coming Martha! I just love Virginia. Unfortunately we will be in the throes of summer soon and it will just be hot!
Paula, is this your place? It's beautiful! Great pics all around...
Just saw your link on Liz's blog and plan to read more another time.
Hi to Chris (and happy birthday, I think it's somewhere around here?) and the boys!
Yep, this is our place. We enjoy it very much. Glad that you read it. Chris's birthday is Sunday.
I'm enjoying reading the info on your blog about your family and your place. The floors sure do look like they'd be beautiful and I'd really like to see your place sometime. Sounds really nice. I've enjoyed my old place for many, many years but we do still have carpeting - no bare floors. Keep in touch!
